Chemical leaking causes serious humanitarian disaster

Our sources belong to our organization have been confirmed from within Alahwaz especially from Almahamara city the place of incident, located in the South west of Alahwaz close to the Shat Alarab river that, on the 27.02.2008 the chemical leaking from PASARGOD company belong to petrochemical company in the Hafar region of Almahamara has been caused hundreds life of our people in that region.

It has been reported to us recently that more than two hundred persons from Almahamara city have been poisoned, five persons from the staff of that company have been dead and ninety persons from same company have been transferred to the Waliasr Hospital in the Almahamara city and many of them have been transferred to Kolestan Hospital in the Ahwaz.

 In according to the report of our sources the death number and injured people are increasing because the chemical spraying is out of control and that make the Iranian authorities to evacuate villages that located away about 35km of this company because people who are living in the Darkhoin area, north of Almahamara have been affected from this leaking.

It has reported that Alakhoiat tribe living in the Alhafar region has been evacuated to the Almard bridge area after many of them have been injured. And Mr Hossinn Bahrany the owner of poultry farm and his family have been injured and they transferred to the Almahamara hospital.

As well as the family of Mr Jawad Khadaier have been injured seriously and Mr Jawad’s wife pregnant has been suffered paralysis after inhalation of toxic substances because this toxic substances causing paralysis and loss of vision.

To remind only: the exact date of this incident is 27.02 2008 at 2pm not 29.02.2008 as we mentioned in our previous report.
